Characterization of Carbonate Reservoir in Building GeoModel Jambaran-Tiung Biru Field, Cepu Block

Carbonate Reservoir, Reservoir Quality ZoneAbstrak
Jambaran-Tiung Biru Field is a Oil and Gas Field which part of Block Cepu. The Main Reservoir of this field is the Oligocene-Miocene carbonate rock Kujung Formation and becomes one of the largest build-up carbonate reservoirs in Indonesia.
The complexity and heterogeneity of the Jambaran-Tiung Biru carbonate reservoir caused by the early sediment deposition process as well as the result of the diagenesis process such as cementation, rock dissolution became its own challenge in reservoir characterizing the Jambaran-Tiung Biru field for geomodel manufacture (static model).
Various Well Data as well logs, Core, Image log etc. and 3D seismic data supported with an understanding of the concept of precipitation as well as proper selection of analog models are integrated to distribute facies and reservoir properties as outlined in the Jambaran-Tiung Biru Field geological model.
Characteristics of carbonate reservoirs The Jambaran-Tiung Biru field produced reservoir quality zone that has different characteristics. Studies show that most of the characterizations performed are in line with expectations and form the basis of the development plan of the Jambaran-Tiung Biru Field.
