Fluid interpretation is always become a challenge for petrophysicist. Start from qualitative to quantitative or even use additional data to get validation and make better interpretation. But the results are debatable. Such as Fluid analysis to determine the type of fluid in reservoir. It still gives the final result as inconclusion or uncertainty data which is not efficient. In GG field many reservoirs have been produced and leave the reservoir with interpretation as hydrocarbon possible that have uncertainties to produce the hydrocarbons. This research has a solution for the challenge in fluid interpretation. This method will optimize the advance petrophysical log to make a better accuracy to interpret fluid in the reservoir.
This method uses triple combo to interpretation the lithology, resistivity and porosity to interpretation the fluid that will compare with each other to see how the response and value of the data set gradient from Resistivity (RT) to effective porosity (Phie). Resistivity will be created by equations that have sensitivity with hydrocarbon. When the porosity increasing and resistivity from the equation increase, it will indicate the hydrocarbon which the gradient between cross plot data is positive and vice versa. But when the porosity increasing and resistivity from the equation decrease, it will indicate the non-hydrocarbon which the gradient between cross plot data is negative and vice versa. The quality of the porosity will affect the resistivity of the reservoir by showing a linear value, therefore the correlation between porosity and resistivity becomes the conceptual basis for this method. For calibrate the result from this method will be used Production data. With high success ratio from this field, it can make a good improvement data.
