SBG-20 is a gas well which has been produced since August 11th, 2013 with potential production 13,5 MMscfd in Parigi Formation. On September 14th, 2014, it was off production due to shale problem (shale caused plug in choke and master valve). Based on drilling history, the root cause of shale problem was shale sloughing in Parigi (PRG), especially in SBG-20. The other problem in Parigi Formation is loss and kick. Drilling operation couldn't finish open hole zone (Bit 8.5") so casing shoe set above Parigi Formation. Therefore, final completion in SBG-20 had to apply open hole completion (interval 1423 1593 mD) with about 5-10 meter of shale formation have not been covered by casing. Shale sloughing produced to surface with gas and caused plug in wellhead (choke and valve) made off production of SBG-20 for 4 months and the loss revenue was $7,73 Million/day. In this paper, we will present our success experience to built an equipment to trap shale in surface that we call it "SUPERTRAP" which could make SBG-20 produce continuously without plugging and safe in operational based on HSSE Aspect.
