Abstract

Mature fields in Wilayah Kerja (WK) Pertamina have subsurface complexity, especially for PHE area. 14 Anak Perusahan Hulu (APH) PHE in onshore and offshore field operation must be controlled and monitor. These fields are main backbone to achieve production target for each year. Grass root issue is reservoir condition which produced high water cut from the existing active wells. It is automatically will reduce oil and gas production and recovery factor (RF). In other view, any strong challenges from the company and management to deliver production target and improve RF directly.
Do the best smart effort for defining infill development wells to close the challenge above. Looking for many opportunity in high water cut field to find undrain area concept. Well placement strategy appropriately in order to achieve oil and gas production target per year, maintain decline and improve RF significantly.
There are revolusioner best practices to define well placement strategy without simulation on the structure area which produced high water cut. Easy to find opportunity and make simple to close the field issues. It is from quick study comprehensive and will impact to reduce subsurface uncertainty dan technical error.
